Colgin's Golf Tournament

The 7th Annual "Colgin Tanner Lohman" Memorial Golf Tournament was again a great success. There were a lot of changes, but all in all things went more smoothly than we could have imagined. We again raised $8000, as of right now. Which is fabulous. We had 23 1/2 teams, sold lots of beer, sold lots of raffle tickets, and we did a new Tiger Drive hole which also helped raise a lot of money. We are very blessed to have such great family, friends, and sponsors. We really are proud that we can do this event each year and honor Colgin in this way.

Cooper likes Golf!

Cooper tried a new sport this summer. She participated in a 4 day golf clinic at the Country Club. She really enjoyed it, although we felt bad as she only had 1 club, and all the other kids had a full set and bag. So after golf clinic was over that week, Chad happened to play in a golf tournament where his team came in first place. So with his winnings he bought Cooper her very own set of clubs. She was so excited. Now she's ready to do the golf clinic again in July.

Playing at Daddy's Store

While getting things ready for the golf tournament, the girls and I stopped at Chad's store to pick up some items. They also like to have fun riding on the "dolly" at the store.

Cooper looses her 1st tooth!

Today Cooper lost her 1st tooth! It had been loose for about 1 1/2 weeks and finally today Aunt Kelly pulled it out for her. She is so excited and can't wait to find out what the tooth fairy brings her. (I'll post pics tomorrow.)

May already?

Ok, so it's May 18th, where did the last 5 months go? We've been busy gearing up for summer, but still enjoying Spring. The weather has been off and on with warm nice days and then not so nice days. Cooper is finished with preschool and now we look towards Kindergarten. We've been getting the lawn ready, planting trees and flowers, and enjoying time outside. Of course the "honey-do" projects keep piling up, but with time we've accomplished a few. We've enjoyed family dinners with my family this month and the past. Mother's Day was nice and Chad and I have even found some babysitters to get some much needed alone time out with friends for food, fun, drinks, and lots of laughs. My mom celebrated her "52nd" birthday and for those of you who don't know my sister's pregnancy is going very well. The sonogram revealed it's a boy!! So we are all delighted. He is scheduled to arrive via c-section on August 22nd. He will be named Ryland Tate, oh how cute! ;o) Chad's parents enjoyed their trip to China and returned safely just in time before the earthquake hit. Thank God. Graduation this year was hectic as we had 4 employees from the store graduate along with one of Chad's friends, Cooper's babysitter Ms. Dena, and Chad brother (Jeremy') girlfriend Beth. We made the rounds yesterday and wished everyone congratulations. Lots of babies being born, the latest was Gauge at the beginning of the month to our friends Bryce & Stacy. ;o) Now we are prepping for the golf tournament, which will be here in 13 days! Yikes, so much to do. Cooper is doing activities this summer: golf camp, tennis camp, tennis lessons, vacation bible school, and a small theater production of "If you give a mouse a cookie." She is so excited. And today, she lost her first tooth! It's been loose for about a week and a half, so finally Aunt Kelly pulled it out today for her. We hope to get out and visit friends and family this summer and enjoy some family time with the girls. Hope everyone is doing well.

Back blogging!

Ok, ok, I'm so far behind on so many things. One of them being this blog. I'm going to quickly update you on a few things.

1. Playing at the park - after school Cooper would ask "can we please go to the park" so finally one day things worked out and we went. Campbell loves the slide and the swings.

2. Cooper's school program and fun night - Grandma Debe came to watch Cooper perform and then she enjoyed playing all the games at fun night with her friends; especially "little Chad."

3. Trip to the farm - Cooper's class went on their field trip to the farm and daddy got to go with. This was the field trip they had tried for last year and mommy took off work for, but it was rained out. They had a great time and it was hot and windy.

4. Jura comes to visit - My good friend Jura came to visit for a girls weekend. We went to college together and she hadn't been back to Manhattan is about 4 years or so. We had a great time. Drove through hellacious down pouring rain, toured the Kansas small towns of Council Grove & Herington, saws the changes and updates to our old stomping grounds, ate some good food, had some girl talk, saw a movie, and laughed at Cooper's beauty shop skills. It was a totally fun, much needed time and we're excited to visit her in Las Vegas this fall, after she has her baby. ;o)

5. Tennis - Cooper has been taking tennis lessons all year and really enjoys it. Chad is able to help the coach and she really enjoys the one on one time. She is taking a camp this summer and will continue with lessons this summer. Maybe she'll be our little tennis pro one day.

6. Driving - This is daddy's worst fear, the day his little girls will drive. We enjoyed some time outside as the girls cruised around in Cooper's Cinderella car. Campbell really enjoys it a lot.

7. Messy eater - Campbell is getting in 5 teeth! So in between being a picky eater, she also is a messy eater. This night it was spaghetti. Yum, yum.

8. Tired baby - Campbell's been fighting a cold and has been trying to stay on schedule with naps, but sometimes she is just so tired, she falls right to sleep in her high chair. A "oh so classic" picture, it reminds me of my little sister, who used to do the same thing all the time. :o)
