Natalie's Baptism

Natalie is such a blessing. We all love holding her and watching her change. She is a happy baby and very easy going. Today is her baptism. Jeremy and Beth, asked Chad to be Natalie's Godfather. He was so honored. It was a very nice ceremony and Natalie was a delight. Blessings today and always, Miss Natalie Rose. We love you!

A Dress the Heart Gala

Each year the hospital hosts a fundraiser to raise awareness for heart health. Nespor's happily donates the wine for this event, so if it works with the calendar, Chad and I enjoy getting dressed up and going out to enjoy the event. This year, since Jeremy is working at the hospital, both he and Beth joined us at the event. Yummy food, live music, auction items and lots of people. It was nice to spend the evening together.

A night away in KC

The girls went to spend the night at Grandma Debe's house for the night. Chad and I ventured off to Kansas City for a night away together. We enjoyed the quiet, alone time together just talking and taking a slower pace of life. We tried a new restaurant called Rye. It was delicious food and great atmosphere. It was so nice to get away.

Ryland's wrestling tournament in Manhattan

We went to cheer on Ryland today at his wrestling tournament. He is such a small little thing, but he is scrappy. He has been doing well during the season. He is learning the terms and practicing the skills very well. It seems that wrestling is a popular sport with lots of participants. Although, Ryland didn't win, it was great to watch him in action.

Grandma broke her foot

Once we all got back from sledding, we wanted to warm up with a fire and some hot cocoa. Grandma ReRe was dancing around doing the "hot chocolate" dance and wouldn't you know it, she landed wrong on her foot and hurt it. Instantly, the party was over. Lucky for her, it was the opposite foot than she broke last year. She spent the rest of the weekend, with her foot up. We all took care of her, bringing ice, heat, crutches, etc. When Monday came, she went to the doctor, and sure enough it was broke. She has to have surgery on it.

Sledding

There is a sledding hill near Papa Mike & Grandma ReRe's house that we discovered a year ago. It is steep, fast, and popular. We knew we all had to go give it a try while we were in Iowa. There wasn't a whole lot of snow, but it was COLD so the little bit that was left was solid. All of us bundled up and off we went. Sleds in hand, it was a blast listening to the screams of joy as down the hill we went. Pat and Ryland were brave and went down on their bellies face first. It was a good workout walking back up the hill each time. It only took a few rides and we were all tired, cold, and ready to go home.

Christmas at Papa Mike & Grandma ReRe's house

We traveled to Iowa, along with the Baalmann's, to celebrate Christmas at Papa Mike's and Grandma ReRe's house. This was a first for all of us. We all enjoy getting together to enjoy great food, drink, and fun. Lots of laughter and memories made. The gifts were abundant and everyone had a very nice Christmas. This was the year of quilts, as Ryland, Bailey, and I all received a new handmade quilt.

Campbell's 7th Birthday

Campbell celebrated her 7th birthday with her BFF Ashley. They enjoyed a visit to the salon for manicures. Of course no birthday is complete without cake, gifts, and family to help sing Happy Birthday.
