Addison's High School Graduation

Kelly and I took the kids and traveled to Oklahoma today for Addison's high school graduation. He is the oldest grandchild and this is the first graduation of many, many more to come. It was a nice ceremony and celebration. I am glad we could attend. Congratulations Addison!

Saying Goodbye

It was a sad day. April and Leif are moving to Colorado. April has been a part of our lives for 10 years. We have seen her graduate high school, college, and get married. She and Leif have been very important to our girls. They have shown them love and support through the years. April has babysat both girls many times, she has saved Chad and I on numerous occasions, she has allowed us the freedom to have alone time. She and Leif will be missed. We enjoyed one last dinner together tonight and took some time for photos. Good Luck April and Leif.

Kindergarten Fun Night

Kindergarten has their own "fun night" similar to field day. Campbell is much more competitive than Cooper. I am not sure she was quite prepared for such events as the three legged race or an obstacle course. She still had a great time.

Field Day

Field Day is one of the most anticipated end of school year activities. If the weather is favorable, the students look forward to this day just as much as the parents do. It's fun to watch kids having fun. Sometimes the competitive side of the kids' comes out, other times there are so many giggles they can't seem to finish the race. Today was a good day and Cooper had a great time.

Baby Birds

A wreath hangs on our front porch. This year a momma bird made her nest in the wreath. Each day we observed the eggs and waited patiently for the baby birds to hatch. Once they did, we had to capture a picture.

Softball & T-Ball Practice

Last summer, Cooper decided to try her hand at player pitch Softball. Chad was able to help Coach, and Cooper was on our friend, Doug's team. She had a good season, she learned a lot, she made some new friends, and she enjoyed herself. So we were excited that she wanted to play again this summer. Even more exciting was that Campbell wanted to try her hand at t-ball. Our neighbor, Joe, volunteered to coach the t-ball team. Practices start early and this week was the first practice for both girls. We look forward to a good season.

Mother's Day Brunch

My Mother's Day request was to get dressed up (which was a challenge) and go out to eat for brunch. The girls were happy to go along, and it was a nice day to soak up some love.

Girl Scout Awards

Campbell finished her first year of Daisy Girl Scouts. Complete with crafts, songs, badges, and cookie sales. It was a nice evening to celebrate their accomplishment.

Kindergarten Field Trip

One of the great things about working part time is the flexibility to take days off. What better a day to take off than a day to spend with Campbell's Kindergarten class at their zoo field trip. The Sunset Zoo doesn't have many animals but we enjoyed our day together at the zoo.
