Flute Recital & Donuts

Cooper treated us to a flute recital this morning at Varsity Donuts in Aggieville. Her flute teacher, Susan Crone, with Prairie Wind Studios, arranged the recital. All of the girls were ready to show off their talents. It was a Spring Fling full of upbeat music. Cooper had several solos and did very well.

Campbell's Dance Recital

Campbell has been our singing and dancing child and so as it would be she decided to join a dance class this Spring. Each week she would attend dance class once a week. Practice was always full of giggles and sometimes not much learning. Even though the show must go on. Recital time is here! Campbell's original recital was scheduled for April 14th, so we had Recital Practice (dress rehearsal) on April 13th and we were set to go. But the weather that day turned scary and with tornado warnings and flooding forecast, the city rescheduled the dance recital. Saturday, April 21, 2012 - Campbell's First Dance Recital The show was great. Campbell's group of girls did alright, despite not having one of the teachers present and the other teacher did not go on stage to help the girls. I have to remember it's more about having fun, than making sure the girls followed routine. Campbell dancing.

Bravo Campbell! You did a marvelous job.

Kindergarten Round Up

Tonight we took Campbell to Kindergarten Round Up. It's hard to believe that in August she will be in Kindergarten. There are 4 Kindergarten classes at her school. She was delighted and excited to see all the classrooms, the class pets, the technology in each room, and all the cool things to do and play with. She has a favorite class/teacher she likes but, we won't find out which class/teacher she has until August. Now if we can just keep her from asking too many times "when does school start?"

Easter

At 3:15am, Campbell ran into our bedroom and said "mommy, daddy I got a note from the Easter bunny!" As our eyes tried to adjust, we read the note to her and Chad tucked her back into bed. She was up again at 4:00am, and 6:30am, and 7:00am (both girls this time), and so finally at 7:30am we got out of bed to see just what the Easter bunny had delivered.

Campbell had 48 eggs to find on the top two levels of the house.

Cooper had 48 eggs to find on the bottom two levels of the house.

Easter baskets were filled with goodies!

Kites for our summer beach trip, pjs, Legos, and swimsuits.

The eggs were filled with change. Even a couple special eggs with a gold dollar coin in it!

Coloring Eggs

Each year Chad helps the girls color Easter eggs. It is the fun Easter tradition that kids enjoy so much. Despite Cooper's sad face (right before this she got a fat & bloody lip from playing softball), both girls love to be creative and color eggs. We are all ready for Easter.

Happy Easter!

Our bunny rabbit

Here is a close up of our little bunny rabbit. She loved showing off her costume she made at preschool.

I love this girl!

Easter Tea

Campbell's preschool class invited parents into class for an Easter Tea. Not only were our little cuties dressed as bunny rabbits, they sang and acted out the sweetest Easter songs we've heard. They enjoy so much singing, dancing, and performing for an audience. Afterwards, they served us cookies and tea. It was a fabulous way to spend a Friday morning. We couldn't have asked for a better preschool program or better teachers.

Aren't they cute?
