Our Artist's Debut

Cooper submitted a piece of artwork to a contest at her school called "Early Expressions." To her delight her artwork was chosen to be on display at the Beach Museum on the K-State campus. The were 800 submissions and only 80 pieces chosen. So on Saturday, we ventured up to the museum to see Cooper's artwork on display. It was so exciting. Each artwork was also up for silent auction, with some few select pieces up for a live auction. The girls enjoyed the cookies and punch just as much as looking at the pictures.

80's Themed BUNCO

So BUNCO this month had a twist. It was 80's night!! How fun it was to tease up my hair, throw on tons of bold makeup, wear the craziest clothes I could find, and listen to some totally rad jams!! I even broke out my old SWATCH watch. Classic. Everyone had tons of fun with lots of laughs. It was a great idea and we can't wait to do it again.

Barbershop Quartet

For Valentine's Day Amy had a great idea to send a Barbershop Quartet to the store to sing to Jason & Chad. So we kept the secret all week and arranged our schedules so we could be there during the big surprise. It was quite the sight to see, and the gentlemen walked in wearing tuxedos and handed our guys a rose and a card. They sang a nice tune and took a picture. It was a unique Valentine's gift and one that won't be forgotten. We enjoyed our Friday together with a couples massage and a lunch date. Love you Chad!

40 Years of Marriage

Super Bowl Sunday just happened to be the same day as Chad's parents 40th Wedding Anniversary. So the adults headed to Topeka for a nice dinner out at Johnny Carinos. It was nice to sit and talk, enjoy the food and drinks, and catch up with each other. It was a cold and snowy night, but we all enjoyed the company and the time together.

Heart Gala

Each year the hospital hosts the "A Dress the Heart" Gala to raise awareness of heart disease. It's quite the event with auction items, great food & drinks, and live music and dancing. This year Jason & Amy were kind enough to attend with us. It was a great night.
