Back to Reality

Reality has set in. I start working full time today. Change is hard. Change is going to be especially hard after having been at the beach for the past 7 days. Schedules are going to need to be adjusted. I hope my girls will understand and accept these changes with a positive attitude.

Vacation

After months of preparation, numerous emails and lists, the wait is over. Vacation is here! We are on our way to Nags Head, North Carolina to spend 7 glorious days on the beach. We can't wait to sit in the sun, play in the ocean, build sandcastles, and best of all enjoy time with great friends and family.

Excited news! I got the job! Today I go back to work!

Felix Grundy Days

We did it! After 10 years of hearing about Felix Grundy Days and saying we couldn't wait to attend the big celebration, we actually made the commitment and experienced the event for ourselves. Our good friends The Hitchings are from Grundy Center, Iowa and Felix Grundy is credited for the making the town. Once a year, on the Fourth of July, the town comes together for a fair like setting complete with food, games, music, and fun.

4th of July

As you may know, the Fourth of July is my favorite holiday. It is the only holiday we spent with Colgin. It will always have a very special place in my heart. This year we spent the holiday watching the fireworks and setting off some of our own at Oma & Opa's house.

Interview

Sometimes in life it is about being in the right place at the right time. Sometimes in life it is about who you know. Sometimes in life it is about determination, patience, and things finally falling into place. Today I had a job interview! While I'm excited, nervous, and scared all at the same time. I feel like now is the time for change. Both girls will be going to school in August and this momma needs to head back into the work force. Wish me luck!
