Kindergarten Music Program
It was a delightful evening watching this group of Kindergarteners perform at their music program. Having experienced Kindergarten both as a teacher and as a parent, I know how much these kids change in just nine months. Campbell looked sweet in her dress and innocent smile. If only I could freeze time.

Heal Angry
Some friends of ours in Wichita have a sweet little girl named Leni. She was born with a heart defect. A heart defect very similar to Colgin's heart defect. When Leni was born she had surgery to repair this defect, but she still needs regular doctor visits and medicine. Recently, Leni had a problem with her medicine and she was very very sick. Everyone pulled together to send love, support, prayers, and fund raising for this sweet little girl. Cooper did her part at home and at school with her classmates. So proud of her big heart!

Spring Music Contest
Each year the radio station hosts a Spring Talent Show for kids that is held at the local mall. This year Cooper decided to enter. She chose to play "Star Spangled Banner" on her flute. There are multiple nights where three contestants are chosen as winners and then those winners come back to perform again for the final night. The winners of the nightly contests win a $50 gift certificate to the mall. The big winner at the end of the contest wins a $200 gift certificate to the mall.
Cooper did very well on her night. She was chosen as one of the winners. She was elated. There is nothing better as a parent than to see your child earn something she has worked so hard for. She already knew that she wanted to purchase a Vera Bradley backpack with that gift certificate. She was excited but nervous to play again on the final night. Disappointingly, she was not chosen as a winner that night. She knew she didn't play her best that night, but she kept her composure as best she could. That was until we got to the car. It was a learning lesson, a hard one to watch and let happen.

Mother/Daughter Dinner
A themed Mother/Daughter Dinner was held in Herington. My sister and I thought it would be fun to take our girls, along with grandma, great grandma, and aunt attend the dinner. There were crafts, tea and cookies, pictures, vendors and prizes, and then dinner. It was a unique experience and I am glad we attended.
