Branson Landing
The weather was cloudy and rainy today, so we opted for a movie. Despicable Me 2 is what we saw. Afterwards, we ventured down to Branson Landing to take in some shopping and the light/fireworks show.
Great Friends
The Watson's left today, but not before we took photos. Having great friends in life is important. Great friends are those people you can count on to be there for you always. Great friends are those people who will laugh with you and at you when you are being silly. Great friends are those that know you well enough to brighten your day when your down. Great friends are those that travel miles away from home to spend a week making memories with their family and yours. These are our great friends!

Down Time
The house we were staying at also had a great clubhouse. After a day in the sun and water, we were all looking for some down time. We love to play bags, aka "cornhole", so we broke out the boards. A mean game of shuffleboard was also going on. Low key evening, until Brian and Vicki added some excitement. With Vicki on the phone, she announced that they were pregnant!!
Boat, jet ski, & beach
Today we all wanted to have some fun in the water. We rented a boat, jet ski, and found a soft spot in the sand at Moonshine Beach. Captain Heath did a great job navigating the boat around. Chad enjoyed cruising on the jet ski. I opted to stay on solid ground and splash around in the water with the kiddos. It was a great way to spend the day in the water. It was different than our beach vacations. I know Bryant and Brayden really enjoyed the boat ride and fishing.

Dixie Stampede
Some of the group went out for dinner tonight. Dixie Stampede was our choice for this evening's events. There was so much to see and watch, that most of us didn't eat much of our dinners. The horses were trained well. The riders were very talented. The props, colors, music, dancing, and performers put on a fantastic show. It was a dinner theater not to be missed. After a few souvenirs we journeyed back home.
Zip Line
Chad, Dad, and Marie took off for the day to their own adventure, zip lining. While all three enjoyed the zip line, it was the last part that scared them all the most. It was a straight down 100 foot drop, attached to a bungee cord of course. They came back thrilled to tell us all their stories of courage or adrenaline rush.

Old Fashion Photo
When Chad was seven years old, his brother Jeremy was born. Shortly afterwards, the family took one of those old fashion photographs. I think it is a great photo and for years I have wanted to take one of our family. So while at Silver Dollar City, we did just that. Here are the photos. I can't wait to hang them in our home.
Silver Dollar City
The weather looked "stormy" as we arrived at Silver Dollar City. We were worried that our day at the park would be ruined. We did have to wait it out for a little while, but then the all clear was given and we started in on some fun. Bryant and Cooper pair up, while Brayden and Campbell do the same. I took the role of photographer/videographer, due to not feeling well because of my ears. The adrenaline crowd, jumped on every roller coaster ride they could. The less than thrilled to be jostled about from side to side took to the slower pace rides. Silver Dollar City is a great park, full of trees, great food, and neat little shops. It was fantastic to watch the kids and grown-ups enjoy themselves. The perfect day of fun!

End of the Season Party
The White Sox celebrated a great t-ball season with a party at the Cico Park Swimming Pool. The pool was ours alone for an hour. Chad joined in on the fun as well. Swimming pools are more than just pools now. Today's party zone included a lazy river, kids pool, slide, diving boards, and stationary climbing toys. It was the perfect way for these 6 year olds to enjoy some summer fun.

Best Dad Ever!
Chad played basketball, baseball, and soccer. He believes in his soul that he is an athlete. We have to remind him sometimes that he isn't as young as he used to be. I on the other hand, have two left feet. I am highly uncoordinated. Athletics was not my strong suit. So when both girls became softball players, I turned the reins over to Chad. He helps coach the girls, practice with them, and give them advice and knowledge to build their skills and confidence. He really is the best dad ever!
