Spring Break Day 1

For our Spring Break trip this year, we chose to go to San Antonio, Texas. We have never been there before and we want to visit Brian and Deb Bulley. As we mapped out what we would do and where we would go, we realized our trip would have many stops. We started in Wichita, KS visiting the Guinn's. An overnight visit to rest our sore muscles from the race. The kids got reacquainted and enjoyed their time together. Then we were off to Texas! Before making our stop for the night in Dallas, we paid a visit to the Diglia family. It was great to see Brian, Vanessa, Kaiden, & Gibson. It had been quite a long time since we had last seen them.

St. Patrick's Day Race

As a family we set a goal for 2014 to run/walk the St. Patrick's Day race together. The weather was nice, lucky for us. Chad and Cooper planned to run it and get timed. Campbell and I planned to walk it and did not get a timing chip. Chad and Cooper did well and finished in good time. Campbell, being competitive, did not like my coaching style and eventually gave up running/walking with me. She took off on her own and finished the race before me. I didn't mind finishing last of my family, I was just happy to finish. It was a good goal and as a family we are happy to complete it.

Flute Choir Concert

Cooper made the Kansas Honor Flute Choir and today is their concert. Over the past few months, the choir has been practicing playing together, learning new parts, and trying new instruments. Cooper is the youngest participant in the choir, but that hasn't stopped her. She has been learning so much from her mentors and she isn't afraid to try. We are excited to watch the concert.

Headbands

Campbell had Ashley spend the night tonight. We all played the game Headbands. It's hilarious to watch the person trying to guess what's on their card, when it's so easy to figure out because you can see their card. Laughter and fun had by all.

Tumbling Class

Campbell and Ashley have been taking Tumbling class at Gymnastics Plus. Today was picture day. Of course the BFF's had to get a photo taken of them together. Both girls' skills are developing as they continue to practice each week. It's been fun to watch them participate in class.

Lady Antebellum Concert

For Christmas, Cooper received tickets to the Lady Antebellum concert in Kansas City. The initial date of the concert got changed, so today is the rescheduled show. Cooper is super excited! Chad, Cooper, and I are on our way to Kansas City to watch the concert. Campbell is staying with Jeremy & Beth. It will be a quick trip, but so worth it. While Chad isn't a big fan of live music, I know Cooper and I will really enjoy the show. Along with Lady Antebellum; the show includes Casey Musgraves and Kip Moore.
