Mardi Gras

Manhattan isn't a small town, but it's also not a big town. Having lived here for 15 years now, raising our kids here, working here, we know people and people know us. Sometimes that is a good thing and other times that isn't such a good thing. Chad is a social person, while I am more comfortable staying home. So when a group of people we know in town decide to host an annual party, deciding whether or not to go is a tough decision. Much thought and review goes into this decision. Because this isn't just a party; this is a once in a lifetime, out of this world, beyond anything you could imagine kind of party. This year's Mardi Gras theme is based on the book "Night Circus." Chad and I asked my dad and Marie down to stay with the girls, and we ventured off to the party. Complete with circus performers, circus animals, a big top tent, costumes galore, circus treats, and live music - we had a great time! So many familiar faces, fun with friends, and a special night out with the hubs. Good memories!
